PMS Thakur Shyam Singh Rawat Jagat Singh Rawat Radhe Hari Government Inter College, Tanakpur (Champawat) follows the syllabus prescribed by NCERT and the Uttarakhand Board for all students. The medium of instruction is Hindi and English. English is taught as a compulsory subject up to Class X.

Students of Classes XI and XII are offered Science and Arts streams. The Science stream includes subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and English/Hindi, as per the available subject combinations. The Arts stream includes subjects such as History, Geography, Economics, Hindi, English, and other subjects as per the school’s prescribed combinations.

The entire academic session is divided into two terms. Term I is conducted from April to September, while Term II is conducted from October to March. The academic program focuses on academic development, practical learning, discipline, and the overall growth of students.
